How often do you use the performance video/ data recorder?

Just curious. Haven’t tried it yet or even read the manual on how to turn it on.

I have used mine several times. You just need a micro sd card. Card slot is right below the steering wheel on the left. Its really cool since you can change the layout on the screen also. People get really confused when you show them a video taken with our phone.

Compared to today's dash cams, it's not that great as far as picture quality. Yes the overlay is nice.

PDR:

Same drive on the A119 Dash Cam

It's the only cloverleaf in a 20 mile radius so I was having some fun...or trying. surface was not grippy at all.

It even records performance timing (0-60/100, 1/4mi, etc). Now that’s pretty darn cool. I didn’t see it mentioned but what file format does it save in?

Thanks for the comparison. Man do people fly on the highway around you.

Standard MP4 if I remember correctly.

LOL funny I couldn't wait to get the card and get it working. I used it to see if it was working in the driveway. That was the last time I used it. I really should use it more its really a cool feature.

I ordered mine without it. If I need to record my laps one day there are other options that I would consider.

Have it. Have never used it. This though, is only due to my forgetting about it until I saw this thread... now I just need to remember to get a bloody card.

I use mine a lot on the track. Every once in a while it glitches and doesn’t want to start up. It’s a known issue that’s mentioned in a few threads here. Takes good video and telemetry when it boots up properly. The other downside is that it records in an mp4 format in which apple devices can’t playback the sound. I have to download it and covert each file to an iPhone or iMac compatible format before I can playback with sound (another known issue).
