My dealer told me the dealer fee was “doc stamps to the county” rather than profit for them.
Tried to sell me a $26,000 protection plan.

There is no shortage of zl1 1le's as long as you willing to travel. There is a dealer in miami with a bunch of them in stock and they are giving huge discounts..hopefully i can find a closer dealer who will match their advertised price.

My experience was "Ok".

Though, I did end up taking a car without PDR . Why PDR was even an option on this car is baffling, but I didn't let it dictate my overall decision. I found myself not really utilizing it on my SS 1LE anyways.

I got 32.5 on trade in, and a 1LE listed for 68k before incentives.

To lump all chevy dealers into your bad experience with a couple is just plain wrong. Dealers can suck. Dealers can be good. The brand they sell has nothing to do with it. Welcome to the world of trading a new car. Bad idea. You are absorbing all the depreciation when you try to trade a new car. You're best bet would be to sell it yourself. You would be smarter to keep what you have. Dont blame the system for your poor decisions.
Oh and, Merry Christmas.

Giving a guy $25k on a car they will list for $40k is a smurfed up system.
They could have easily given the OP $35k and still made a profit, even if his 3,700 mile car needed tires, alignment, oil change, and brakes.

Stealership, plain and simple.

I own many cars and buy several new ones each year. That being said ive never been treated like this with any other brand. I know the wholesale value of the car and they are trying to steal it for $7k below wholesale.

KBB says it's worth 32k on trade/40k private. You can also get a cash offer which is what my friend did for his 2016.

32k is the correct trade in number, not 25k.

I wouldn't be upset if the car was worth 25k and they offered 25k. Im bothered they offered 25k for something worth 32k while asking more than MSRP for the ZL1 1LE.
Im am used to losing money on toys...I also own an offshore boat and that hobby makes track cars seem inexpensive.
