Lift pass’s or Jack pads from zL1 addons,

What have you used and how well did they work. Did they require modifications to the car? I’m wanting to get a set but not sure whether to try the magnetic ones that are machined down to fit over vert. Bracing or try the stealth permanently attached ones because I’m not sure they need to be modified to fit over the vert Bracing. Thanks in advance

I have the magnet ones, they work great. I also have a rubber set that works good too and they are way cheaper.

Lift pads

Mine look like the same construction as the zl1addons but are just black from Amazon. Are 6061 Aluminum alloy as opposed to billett but should easily be strong enough for half the price. In the process of modification for them to fit. Cutting about 1/2 inch of lip off the extra brace on the convertible should do it.

At half the price, those Amazon knockoffs are a bargain, and I'm sure they work just as well as the ZL1's I bought. I'll just be up front here. The only reason I bought the ZL1 units is that I liked the red. If not for that, I would have bought the half priced ones.

I bought these as well because they pretty much matched my RJT color.

lift pads

The red definitely looks good. Just put ACS splitter and sides on my vert so they can't be seen anyway. Just cutting the tab didn't work so I had to get the chop saw out. Went ahead and painted the bar orange although does not match the inferno orange of the car. Needed something on the cut metal. Dremeled off one side of the bolt flange too.

ZL1 stealth pads

Has anyone modified the lift pads to fit around the convertible bracing ? I would rather not cut the brace itself. Any one know what the ZL1 stealth pads actually are designed to lift on ? Is it the center cut out of the pads that contact the pinch weld only, or do the sides of the pad also contact the rocker panel as well? Thinking maybe a nylon shim on the outboard side of the pinch weld attached with 3m tape may distribute the load better. Someone with a coupe could probably shed some light on this question.
I certainly appreciate everyone’s comments so far. Thanks!

You might want to ask in the ZL1 section. Maybe they would be of help. GL.
