Front Lips

Hey guys, I am realizing that finding a quality GM style front lip is gonna be hard. So here is a pic of my car, I think it needs something in the front to finish off the kit but not sure which lip I should look for that is quality and not just stick on fiberglass junk. So figured I would get your opinions on which you guys recommend. Or if I should just leave it the way it is with the sides and the back and call it a day and focus on getting the spoiler I want. Anvil notch or possibly the ZTA and painting it Satin black. What are your guys recommendations for this? I havent been in the camaro scene since 15 when I sold my Synergy Camaro so still trying to figure out what is available and what is good quality. I want to do everything with this Camaro top quality and not short cut it.

First off, nice ride!! Here are a couple options you can do. I got both from RPI Designs. The smaller one is a ZL1 replica, the big one is a Z28 replica, which is what's on there now. You can get the unpainted, or painted.

Thanks , Yours is sick too. I will post a build thread on it eventually with what is done to it (I havent done much yet other then Tint and the gill inserts but I got some plans for it. yeah I like the ZL1 one, i like how it isnt quite as big. Are they pretty easy to find quality ones that dont require any customization?

Cool, thanks.Yep, I liked my ZL1 too, but with the look I was going for, the Z28 one just did it for me! If you get it from RPI, I can vouch for their quality, both of them fit very nicely with NO modification at all, except for drilling holes in the bottom of the fascia to BOLT it on with washers and at least 10, 5 per side of 1/4-20 stainless bolts, washers and nylon lock nuts. It ain't coming off!! When I got the new Z28 one from them, the mounting point AND holes were exactly the same! Oh, and they are both nice hefty fiberglass, well built.

Sweet I will def look into that I think the ZL1 will look good on my car with the rest of the factory kit.
Yeah I would say the Z28 with your streetfighter wing and cowl hood def is the right combo. Im not trying to go that wild YET I like the more subdued look just because I aint pushing 500+ HP yet, but once I get the motor built up and its a monster as well then I will probably go for a more wild look as well. I was thinking about trying to find a Silver ZL1 hood but i have a feeling that will be really hard to find and I seen something about the body lines in the hood dont line up . so not real sure about that yet.

Very cool. Yeah, that ZL1 splitter will look good on your Camaro. And as for the ZL1 hood, you probably would have a really hard time finding one OEM, as the CF insert in it is worth its weight in gold!! And you can't get them anymore, and the aftermarket inserts suck so I have read. As far as the lines matching up, the ZL1 came out for the 2013 year and would match your year fine, the 2014-15 hood would not because the front fascia was changed for those 2 years. Oh, and for the "wild look", I wasn't thinking that either when I started modding, it just went there by itself! lol. I never thought I'd have gone this far, but we did. lol.

Yeah I was reading about the inserts and they are junk from what I have seen. Amerihood has one that looks like the ZL1 hood but it doesnt have the carbon fiber I might get that eventually and just paint the center of it black.

Thanks. Yours looks stellar as well. I kind of wish I didn't add it on, bc I'm scared of going over speed bumps and getting too close to those parking curbs. Lol. I always end up being 1-2 ft away.

Thanks my friend!! Yea, gotta say I too have to be very careful when going over some speed bumps, haven't hit any yet. And the parking blocks, I too stay away from them by about 2 feet just to be safe. Only hit one, but that was enough because it dinged the very center of the splitter and had to do some touch up magic because it is CF hydro dipped.

I also went with the ZL1-style, fully painted from RPI.

And there ya go!! Very nice! When I first put mine on I had it painted RJT for a while, then decided it was too much RJT on the front and went gloss black. I liked it a lot better then.
