"In transit"

I was constantly checking Chevrolet's website for inventory and was watching it dwindle everyday. Then "Lethal Camaro" said more was coming so I checked more often. I felt it paid off when I found the exact model I was looking for. This was in April. It was a 2021 Camaro ZL1 1LE 6 speed in "Shock". It was showing "in transit". I called the selling dealer and was told the expected delivery date was 05/30/2021. Yes you guessed it. The dealer now has no clue when it will arrive as of 07/16/2021. I called Chevrolet Customer Care in June and was told it was waiting to be shipped. Then I called in July and after over 30 minutes on hold in disconnected and later my girlfriend calls me and said that she got a call from Customer Care stating that the vehicle had not even been built yet. How is that even possible if I have a VIN? I called Customer Care again yesterday and disconnected after 9 minutes and still waiting for the next available advisor.

I guess it was their allocation. I got lucky and even got it under MSRP. The only other one i found a couple months earlier had a $30,000.00 addendum on it. They sold it in just a few days. I loved the color but for $30,000.00.

I feel your pain too. Ordered Feb 19. Then checked my dealers website around 2 weeks ago. "In Transit" stated for my ordered Camaro. Joe from Team Becky on this site is really nice and has helped my with updates through the process. Looked up current status and its at 3800 Vehicle produced. Hopefully it will arrive by late December as a Xmas gift to myself.

The ZLE I have put a deposit on is sitting in the same state since June 26th (4300 status). This wait is killing me as I also have a F150 caught up in this whole situation as well.

Lot`s of talk about Camaro sales dwindling. We lucked out with ours. Right vehicle in the right colour about 15km from home. A few more bells and whistles than we would have ordered but in reality glad we have them now on the vehicle. I think sales would be up considerably if the people could get them !!!! My local dealership is currently waiting for 4 that are ėn transit`.

Did they tell you late December? That's nuts! I dont like the idea of a vehicle that I ordered just sitting at a depot exposed to possible lot damage. I am considering canceling my order. I would be ok If Chevrolet gave realistic expectations. They should not list a vehicle as "in transit" if it is not "in transit". Its just sitting in a depot.

They're apparently making the cars then storing them until they get chips. So I would expect quite a few to get finished as soon as the parts are available.

I've even heard some went to dealers and the dealers will install the ECUs or whatever when they are available.

IMO, it'll pay off to be patient, as soon as this is over the prices will drop to pre-pandemic levels.

They might have had a sticker for $30k over but that doesn't mean that someone actually paid that.

No. I was just kidding when I wrote that. Found out today went from 3800 Vehicle Produced to 4800 Rail Ramp Unload. Next is 5000 Vehicle Delivered to Dealer. I'm in Florida so I'm just guessing it probably in Jacksonville cause they have a bunch of railyards there. Hopefully just a few days out.

Has anyone noticed that Chevrolet’s website inventory is growing? They are spitting out lots of Camaro's. Noticed 15 ZL1 1LE 6spd Camaro’s today listed as in transit. ckt227. Any word on your order?
