Parts question for the vert owners

Okay....I'll be joining the vert family in 11 days... just a couple questions:

1. The tonneau cover comes with the car, correct?

2. There used to be a problem with the tonneau covers not latching properly or something...anybody have any issues with their 2012 tonneau cover?

3. I've recently seen pictures of a Camaro "windscreen". Does anybody have/use one of these? What is the effect - what difference does using the windscreen make?

Thanks for the education....

1. The tonneau cover comes with the car, correct? What model did you order? Only the 2LT and 2SS come standard with the tonneau cover.

2. There used to be a problem with the tonneau covers not latching properly or something...anybody have any issues with their 2012 tonneau cover? I have a 2011 with no tonneau cover issues. If the attachment bolts are installed properly and the tonneau is installed correctly there shouldn't be any issues.

3. I've recently seen pictures of a Camaro "windscreen". Does anybody have/use one of these? What is the effect - what difference does using the windscreen make? I don't have one but I have a few friends (not all camaro owners) with verts and they love their windscreen. It greatly reduces cabin turbulance. I think they look kinda dorky though.

Heads up.. be on the lookout for the top rub marks. Search for the zillion page thread .. does your top have rub marks..

1) the tonneau cover comes with the 2lt also. I know on the 2011 it was standard equipment on the 2ss and 2lt.
2) I have the 2011 version of the cover and never had a problem with it going on or staying on.
3) I know two people that have the windscreen and it does work good. However both of them think putting it in place is a real pain. Each has said it isn't worth the $.

#1 - it comes only with the 2SS, and 2LT.

#2 - The 2012 was redesigned, no reported problems with its latching system that I know of.

Just be sure to verify that the dealer installed the bolts for the cover.

Firstly,Congrats!!! on the purchase.I think you are going to love the car.I know I do.
1. in 2011 only the 2LT and 2SS came standard with the tonneau cover.
2. I always am able to get my tonneau cover to latch but it is a little difficult to get the little clips to attach. That is why they redesigned it for 2012 and should be better
3. No I don't use a windscreen but it is to limit the wind in the cabin

Cover is not standard on the 1SS Vert for 2012. It is a dealer add on and IMO is not needed except if you want the clean look. I would rather have my original top back instead.
