Service Side Detection System Message

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on the forum. Started the car today and received an error massage that says "Service Side Detection System".

1400 miles on a new ZL1. UGH

Anyone else seen this?

Fault in the blind spot monitoring system? Is it still functional?

No. The blind spot detection system is not working on either side of the car.

Time for a trip to your friendly neighborhood Chevy service department! :(

Probably a very simple fix though!

Update

Took it to the dealership today. They just had to do a reset on the system.

Seems to be working fine now. Glad it was a simple fix.

Interesting. Is that like a battery unplug then replug, or something more entailed?

Mine generally works fine but I have noticed it is mega sensitive in heavy rain. Getting a lot of false alerts on the driver side. As soon as the weather clears up it goes back to normal.

Not sure if there is any sensitivity adjustment that the dealer can do on the sensor. And honestly not sure I care enough about it to risk having the dealership mess around with my car. Generally I use my truck if I know it will rain so I don't rely on the sensors in bad weather too often

I assume they unplugged the battery because I lost all of my settings in my HUD and seat settings.

Resolution for Side Detection System after Jumpstart

This happened to me today when I had to jumpstart my car after sitting for a week or so. To resolve his issue all you have to do is turn the car off and turn it back on again and driving around for 5 min or so. It fixed the problem for me.

mine started doing this after a drive home yesterday in some light AZ rain. Ican turn on and off the system but is doesnt respond the passing cars. Its bone dry today. So disconnecting the battery will fix? I have a oil change coming up. Will have them look into this

This along with ‘service stability track” issues can be from a low battery and the software setting up a glitch. Make sure the battery is above 12.2V, disconnect the negative cable for 15 minutes, and reinstall. The car should reset.

Sadly I have the same message and its not as simple as reseting it :(
It started going haywire in the wet spring weather, and now stopped working altogether.

Can someone give me a link to the sensing unit in the rear bumper that I amy need to replace? Although I am hoping I just need to dry it out, replug and seal it.
Just want to know what the unit is before I take of the bumper.
