Terrible fuel economy
I have the v6 auto and I think this car's doing bad on fuel. I only drive locally/city and keep the car on sports mode always. I just checked the fuel average for the last 50 miles and it's about 15 mpg. This is terrible. I see v8s here on the forum doing alot better. What do you people with v6 get?

If you only drive locally in city traffic, don't expect very good fuel mileage unless you get out on a stretch of highway/interstate. Where in NJ ???

keep in mind that idle time, and stop and go will figure into this number.

If you are in the city, you'll be getting that MPG especially if you rabbit start/stop. Remember, the #1 most exaggerated fact in Camaro forums is MPG. No questions. When V8 guys say they drive 90% city and are averaging 23MPG. Red. Flag.
Now, with that said, depending on how you drive it you can actually get pretty decent mileage. Im right at 3k miles, drive about a 35/65 city/hwy split and this tank Im averaging 24.1 MPG with 120ish miles on the fill up. How? I've been trying to get as high as I can without really going crazy into the hypermiling. Coast to stops, very gentle on the gas while taking off from a stop and no idling. M6 SS here. I average 16-17. My commute is all back roads with light traffic (except for when I get stuck behind a damn school bus).

Here in Atlanta traffic is pretty much the norm, I get anywhere from 16-19 MPG with my V6.

I'm averaging 15mpg and have been stuck in bumper to bumper traffic a lot lately during rush hour....that's with a supercharger, headers and tune. I'd also expect a lot better fuel economy from a V6.

Why? It's rated at 19/28. Sitting in city traffic and driving hard can easily take that number down. I've seen it as low as 13MPG when I was showing off the car to my best friend. Doesn't take much go pedal to get the mileage down.

City is always bad with all the idling. I get the same with my V8. Around 16-18. When you highway drive the V8 it does 30mpg pretty easily with the cylinder de-activation

My driving is about 75% city and 25% highway and I'm getting about 24mpg with my V6. That is about right since the car widow sticker states fuel economy for combined city/highway should be 23mpg
