Just wanted to tip my cap to those that chose the Blue Velvet since it is a one year only model. Ironically, I've seen about 6-7 2016s total this year, and three of them have been Blue Velvet. It's popular color here in Florida (not sure why) as I've seen many dealers have this color as well.

My last two Camaro's were Red Jewel Tintcoat. I went to the dealership on last Tuesday for a test drive of a Garnet Red and it really sunk in how my last three cars have been red and I really don't care for red. I ended up getting the Blue Velvet and absolutely love it!
The paint was so rough and I always clay my cars when I get them. I immediately went into an Adams paint correction, polish, seal, glaze and Patriot wax. It really beams the light and glows now, smooth as glass and has zero swirls or fine scratches. The color seems to have actually changed which is the same thing that happened with my RJT cars. I think its because the car captures the light differently now and reflects it clear and pure. Tint goes on tomorrow as well as clear bra. |
