I am not advocating driving on summer tires in the winter BUT, I just put on MPSS all the way around and it rained like a mofo today. I was extremely impressed with the Michelins. I have no problem driving them in the occasional rain storm.

The MPSS do very well in all weather. I drove my 2008 Corvette that was putting out 400rwhp and weighed 34xxlbs several times when it was less than 40° outside, I never once had a issue with them in the cold.

As long as you drive sane until they warm up you are fine. Now the only time I ever got bit by that was the time I went into work in my 2009 G8 GXP on the summer only OEM Potenza's. We were forecasted to get a "dusting" of snow, we ended up with 14" from a massive blizzard.

That made for a very interesting drive home 48 hours later once I finally got off work.
