Mine doesn’t sound like this

My 2018 2SS 1LE came today. It’s better than I expected.

However, even in track mode or in regular modes with the track exhaust selected, it doesn’t snarl, or snort, or burp. I expected the sounds to be like the one in this review below. Is that a change for 2019?

Yes, the tune is different on 2019+, those cars apparently have much more decel pops than ours.

The 2019’s exhaust does pop and crackle more than the 2016-2018’s. They changed something with the exhaust tune. I could be wrong though

Nice car OP.

That snap, crackle, pop, never gets old.

I have a Pedal Commander in mine and that really woke her up.

I also have a 2018. Swap out the stock exhaust for an aftermarket and remove the secondary cats. I get crazy pops and burbles, especially when it is in cold start mode. Sounds like a bunch of guns going off or fireworks.

Thanks for the replies. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing a setting somewhere.

I love the car!

I have the 2019 and couldn't be happier with the exhaust sound. To me it's twice as "good" as the 2015 Z51 Vette I had with the same engine and variable exhaust. I also have the upgraded air intake and am told that makes an improvement in the exhaust noise. I seldom put mine in track mode because Sport sounds so good and when you shut if off it starts in that same mode.

You need to go to the engine sound management settings in the Mylink. It's possible that the NPP is set to the Stealth or Tour for all driving modes.

Set it to automatic if you want it to be based on what mode you have the car in or set it to Sport or Track if you want it loud all of the time.

I went to engine sound management settings in the Mylink and set it to Track mode and it overrides all the settings from the console switch.

That keeps it in track mode all the time.

From some videos on YouTube that I have seen, I would have to agree 2019 pop some more. Besides when cold, my 2017 pops a lot less.
