Locked my key fob in my trunk once, never again, had a spare made , tried it in the keyhole once then hid the key.

I use it mon-fri every cold morning. Since no automatic start with 1LE, I start the car with one set of keys, and leave car on, and lock the door manually with the other set of keys, since keyless won't work when keys are in ignition.

I am sad that Chevy didn't include a lock cylinder on the passenger door or trunk.

I would throw my remote in the river if they did.

Agreed.
(though I'd keep the remote too)

My wife's 2010 PPPPP Hybrid thing, you just walk up to the car, touch the handle and it opens, couple that with push button start and who needs to even use a remote? GM is so far behind in this area.

Almost 2 years, Ive never used it once. Previous owner must have (or some neanderthal who may have serviced it for them) at some point, because the metal cover has some scratches. Doesnt bother me, I never look at it LOL.

Although, I know one day I'll end up using it due to either a dead car battery or fob battery.

What kind of battery does the fob use? Might as well get some spares.
