Every time I see an update on the thread, I go and check my oil on my 2014 ZL1.
I have 5,600 so far on the original oil and have not used any that I can see.
I do have a catch can that grabs a little...

Update. On my second oil change since my original post. No change in driving style or mileage and no further oil warnings. I suspect it was probably a loose filter or dealer didnt refill full 8qrts. Last 2 oil changes I have checked before I left the service dept. No issues.

I usualy do it myself, but on a recent powertrain warranty repair, I too, had a 6 qt. fill AND a loose oil filter at the dealer. Got to watch them!

After a "free" oil change, I would look at the oil part number (and qty., to insure they out the right stuff in it!), the condition of the drain plug (to make sure they didn't use vice grips and a chain saw!), actual oil lever after sitting, and the oil filter tightness.

The tech at the local dealer is SUPER, but the kid they have doing oil changes has a lot of "come-up-ins" to learn!
