I would tint the windows then go from there. I had 20% tint and it was perfect, so I had to get it removed. I got the bug again and wanted it even darker this time and got 5%, but it is hard to see at night. However, window tints just make the car look so much better and your car cools down.

If you believe that 93 octane will do anything more for a 6 than 87, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.

I concur, for my 2LS I couldn't personally feel any difference while driving.

I did a blind test and noticed a difference. I'm trying to find empirical data to back up my findings. On the whole, there's not a whole lot of data but I was told the fuel mapping is variable and the timing will adjust for different octanes-- it has to, to prevent knock with lower octane fuel. Feels as though it can also adjust for higher octane fuel. I do the same 80 mile commute at the same times, 5 days a week, so there's almost no variability in how the car gets driven. In a blind test, a passenger filled the car with an unknown octane for the course of about 600 miles of commuting. I noticed the car pull harder on the mountain grades in 5th gear and felt like it had more power overall. Turns out it was filled up with 89 both times.
