Question 2017 Gen6 TIMING Gasket Cover Leak

Has anyone had this issue w/ their 2017 RS 2.0 turbocharge ?? Bought it in 2019 had 17,000 miles on it. Had a routine oil change and the dealership said it was starting to leak.. around 50,000 mm

THANKS

WTH is a gasket cover?

Is that where you put the blinker fluid in or something?

Don’t see a separate gasket listed, just the cover itself. $90 + $15 for front crank seal from gmpd. Probably like an LS cam plate, can only buy the cover w/ gasket.

Check to make sure the bolts are still tight, otherwise get a damper puller & DIY it.

May need to loosen the front oil pan bolts & drop it out of the way.

Unlike the LS the LT doesn’t use many gaskets. The front cover is glued on with RTV. The oil pan and rear block cover are the same way save for a couple o-rings.
