Good dyno numbers???

Just got my car finished up. Big cam, and Longtubes. How do these numbers look for a cam LTs on e85

What’s a big cam ? And did you do heads ? Numbers seem low.

Of course everyone will tell you that dyno results vary widely and its best considered a tuning tool to compare before and after results for mods. That said I’d say something is off for your results. With that level of mods one would expect to see something over 500 hp on a dynojet.

I would think they would be higher. Depends on the dyno and what you're calling a big cam I suppose. They aren't bad numbers though, I would just think they'd be higher.

Dynos are nice tuning tools but I’d be more interested in finding out what your 1/4 mile mph was before and after the cam. How does it drive, is it a daily driver? I’d like to hear a video of you can .

I’m curious as well what the specs are.

While GM heads have improve exponentially over the last few decades, cams have as well, so we find ourselves right back to flow & lift equivalents. Yes these heads flow well up to .600 lift, but having a .660+ bumpstick is going to offer minimal gains over a more mild .640” lift.

That doesn’t even address high duration RPM range vs runner length, which effects RPM torque production. A real rowdy cam is going to want a higher frequency air pulse capability, ie shorter runner.

why was the pull ended at 6300? what was the base line?

if it's a run of the mill dynojet...those numbers are way low. those are bolt on numbers with low torque.

what are the details? what cam? supporting mods?

who did the tune? do they specialize in late model GM? the LT motors are completely new way of tuning. you need lost of training on the platform to tune it. you should be much higher than that. I bet they didnt remove enough torque management.

Well now you guys have me worried. These are the cam specs. And I am also fighting about
6000 ft denisity altitude here in El Paso. But it’s just a cam 17/8 kooks headers catless to NPP. Tuning done in track mode.

If you didn’t touch the heads the numbers aren’t too far off. Did they swap lifters ?

Only other thing that caught me off guard was max duty cycle of my injectors was 29%. I thought our LT1 stock fuel system was more taxed than that

Those numbers at 6k ft are plenty strong. Torque is a little low maybe but I wouldn't worry about it til you see your traps.
