A Tribute for Becky Doyle at Gingerman Raceway
by the Motor City Camaro Club and CGI Racing
Monday July 13, 2020

The Motor City Camaro will arrive at Gingerman Raceway in South Haven Michigan by 10:45 am on Monday July 13th. Food vendors at the Raceway will be open for lunch and snacks. At noon, a tribute and presentation for our member Becky Doyle is scheduled. Parade laps around Gingerman will follow the presentation.

We will depart from Gingerman at 2:00PM and drive to Becky's favorite Ice Cream shop, Sherman's in South Haven.

We have formed three caravan's heading to Gingerman.

Caravan #1
Detroit, Downriver, and Ohio via I94 to Ann Arbor, Brighton and Lansing:

The Ann Arbor meetup location is at US23 North exit 41 and Plymouth Road, north of I94.
We will meet between 6:30 and 6:40. At 6:40 we will take US23 north to I96 West in Brighton.
We will exit I96 at exit 147 Spenser road to meetup with the North side caravan.

Ann Arbor and East side groups will depart from Spenser road to Lansing at 7:40 am.

Caravan #2
East Side Caravan via I696 and I96 to Brighton and Lansing:

The East side meetup location is at the Meijer gas station at 12 mile and mound at 6:30am. At 6:40 am the caravan will depart for Brighten. The route
will be to take I696 to 96 and stop at exit 147 Spenser road to meet the Ann Arbor group.

Ann Arbor and East side groups will depart from Spenser road to Lansing at 7:40 am.

Caravan #3
Clarkston via M59 to Lansing

For those that want to meet from the North, we will be meeting at 7:00 am at Bordines in Clarkston (Exit 93) and will be departing for Lansing at 7:10 am.

Lansing Meet Up:

Alert - 496 through downtown Lansing is closed for construction.


The final staging location for the caravan is in Lansing, MI.
Plan to arrive between 8:30 and 8:50 at the:
Hilton Garden Inn Lansing West
633 North Canal Road

The directions are as follows:
From I-69 take the 93B exit Saginaw/M43
The hotel is less than a mile from the exit.

We will leave Lansing at 9:00AM For Gingerman Raceway.
We will take I96 W to exit 26 109th Ave. we then continue to Gingerman.

Great tribute for our Becky I know it was hard for Joe but it was great that he Sarah were able to attend. I am proud of MCCC for coming out in force I could not dive up but I was watching and thinking out you all day today Becky. I know you were leading the pack in your ZL1 and showing everyone how it was done.

Although I could not attend I watched every video it was awesome and definitely sad at the same time. Hearing Joe talk about Becky broke my heart again knowing just how much she meant to him. Thank you to my fellow MCCC members as well as non-members coming out to support our Becky it was just Awesome.

I have so many fond memories of my friend but a few stick out the most for me.

Back when I requested any salesperson of the Camaro5 board back in September 2009 I was looking for my 2010 Camaro two dealers replied to me but only one followed up with all of my questions and that was Becky.

The second memory was when I finally had the opportunity to meet Becky and Joe at Camaro Fest 1 in Valdosta GA we chatted on the phone, email ,texts, forum PM’s and she even sent my girls gifts when my 2nd daughter was born.

My next memory was when Becky, Joe, and Maureen flew down to Orlando for the Sunshine State Camaro Rally we held it was awesome these guys not only sponsored our car show they flew down to hang out and meet the tons of Camaro5 members and enjoy the show with us.

My fondest memory was completing my purchase for my 2017 2SS Convertible an amazing experience.

Again far too many memories I could post on for days but after I purchased my Camaro from Becky I returned to Michigan the following month to help her with the annual Rodgers Chevrolet car show, I did for the next two years for the James Martin Motor City car show. I was so looking forward to the 2020 show to come up and hang out with Becky, Joe, and the club, then Camaro Fest, and back again to Detroit for the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Again so many great memories I am just honored I was able to call her my friend her and Joe are like family and always will be.

Thanks Tim for everything you do for the club you always take care of others thank you my friend.

Joe our hearts still hurt with yours every day, do know that along with you we will continue to honor Becky’s legacy every day. She touched so many and many who do not even realize it we all owe allot to Becky for her involvement in the 5th and 6th gen Camaro.

If you have any favorite pictures or videos of Becky please flood Becky's old e-mail address with them. Joe has access to that e-mail account, but like some of us, he's not on Facebook, nor does he want to, so just pass them along to.......
