Well I definitely had no charge for my red calipers and 1LE decals, they were specifically called out as part of the 1LE package on my sheet. They are on the car, and there is no "mystery" red caliper charge anywhere in my breakdown. I do see options on the 1SS package that were deleted by the 1LE pcakage, including the original smaller brakes, which were black, red was optional upcharge, but the 1LE box changes that.
So I guess I got free ones too! Any others I looked at while shopping around, same thing. No charge for the huge Brembo 6 piston red calipers and two piece rotors, they are in the 1LE package. Turbo 4 and V6 1LE package does NOT get the large red brembos, that is SS and ZL1 only. |

Becky said there was a glitch in the ordering system. Once i brought it up to the dealer they were willing to adjust it. They had four cars like this and pretty sure other customers did not know.

Yes, had to be an error. Window sticker clearly states (as part of 1LE package) "Brembo Performance Brakes, Red Calipers" but further down "Red Brake Calipers - $395". LOL!
Pretty slick! Up charge for something already there! Double dipping by Chevy? Interesting..... |

That error appears to still be occurring, a 1LE I'm looking at still on the way to the dealer lists it as an additional charge

Congrats on the new ride! Since they started putting the A10 with the 1LE package I am hooked, pricing is high but I'm also in NY trying to track down an LT1 with the A10, so far no luck :(

I bought my 1le with the same charge 395 dollar red brake caliper. I told my dealer and they said nothing they could do because that's how Chevrolet has it. Well today I got in the mail a letter stating
"We have learned that your 2020 model year Chevrolet Camaro may have a condition in which a double charge was applied for the red brake calipers at the time of vehicle purchase. What We Will Do: Your Chevrolet dealer will provide you with a reimbursement check in the amount of $395. This reimbursement is available to you until February 28, 2023. What You Should Do: To limit any possible inconvenience, we recommend that you contact your Chevrolet dealer as soon as possible to begin the reimbursement process. Please provide this customer letter, your diver's license or state ID and vehicle registration to present to the dealer in order to receive your reimbursement check. If you have any questions or concerns that your dealer is unable to resolve, please contract the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center at 1.800.630.2438 We want you to know that we will do our best, throughout your ownership experience, to ensure that your Chevrolet Camaro provides you with many miles of enjoyable driving." So I guess I will finally be getting my $395 dollar refund. |
