When checking these on on the build and price tool it lists a suspension lowering kit under options. Does anyone know if this is factory installed or an lpo (dealer installed)?

The suspension lowering kits on both the LT and SS Camaros are LPO options and therefor dealer installed. While technically currently not legal, the "Standard Part" language change in the recent Fastrack allows the SAC/SEB freedom to allow/disallow such options going forward.

Look for a clarification regarding these options soon, the SAC is spending a bunch of time looking over each manufacturer to class/exclude previously dis-allowed dealer-installed parts and options.

In the case of the Camaro, chances are very high that the lowering kit will be specifically excluded from Street, the SS is already at the top of FS and the LT 2.0T is unknown in DS...allowing the kits has the potential to upset the balance in both classes.

Thats awesome! I saw you did really well this year in that ecoboost! Cool they moved them to DS to shake things up a bit. Should be an interesting year, I think these can take down the WRX and its hold of DS. The twins in DS will be interesting as well. Good luck! ill be watching for sure!

OK, update time!!

First upgrade on the Camaro was completed a couple weeks ago (been very busy with work lately), new phone/tablet mount! I wanted a good solid mount that would work for my iPhone 6 as well as my LG G-Pad 7.0 7" tablet I use for Solostorm data acquisition.

ProClips has always been highly recommended, however they don't make a cost-effective sleeve for my tablet. So, I ended up building a hybrid mount using a ProClip base for the 2016+ Camaro with specific Ram Mount pieces and an X-Grip holder.

ProClip base here...
http://www.proclipusa.com/dashboard-...maro/2016.cmsv

Ram Mount RAM-B-347U 2x1.7" base (has exact hole pattern to mount in the ProClip base...
https://www.amazon.com/Contains-Univ...ords=ram+mount

Ram Mount RAP-B-201U-A Short Double Socket Arm for 1" ball...
https://www.amazon.com/Mount-Composi...84VMZ9ENHCT5X9

Ram Mount X-Grip Phone/Phablet holder RAM-HOL-UN10BU, I chose this X-Grip because the smallest unit it will hold is just below an iPhone 6, and the largest is a 7" tablet...
https://www.amazon.com/Universal-X-G...ords=ram+mount

Turned out great I think, haven't autocrossed with it yet but works fantastic as a phone mount. I just loosen the socket arm and rotate the X-Grip and arm 90* to switch between phone and tablet.

Next update coming soon, as Des eluded to I got the 2.0T on the scales the other day and finally received my first big purchase for the car

Weekend Update #2

I received both sets of wheels I will be using this year last week, huge thanks to Sam at Strano Performance Parts!!

Before I get into the wheel details, while the car was at the shop getting the tires mounted I got the chance to put it on scales. Remember my car is a zero option 1LT, this is with about 1/8th tank of fuel and still has everything inside (floor matts, owners books, etc.), take a look...

Basically about 70-100~ lbs lighter than I thought, considering most published curb weights were in the 34xx range. This puts the car right at 200 lbs LIGHTER than an Ecoboost Mustang with the Performance Package (like the one I drove last season), and will get even lighter with the competition wheels and a cat-back exhaust!! It's still about 600 lbs heavier than a BRZ, but it also has a lot more power/torque and bigger tires

On to the wheels, the first set are TR Motorsports C4's, 18x8.5 in light gray, 30mm offset and come in at about 21.5 lbs each. I'm still waiting on tires to be delivered for these, but here is what they look like...

However, here is what I'm really excited about...I'm absolutely in love with these wonderful Forgestar CF5V's in Gun Metal Gray! 19x8.5", 25mm offset, and right at about 22 lbs (yes about the same at the TRM C4, but remember this is a bigger wheel), wrapped in 265/35-19 Bridgestone RE-71R tires. I could not be more pleased with how they turned out

The Forgestars will likely be used in most situations, but I wanted to try a set of 18's so decided to get both. Both wheels represent great values, especially the Forgestars due to their light weight, strong construction, and custom made-to-order specs. Check out www.forgestar.com and then give Sam at www.stranoparts.com a call for a great deal!

Next up will be a competition alignment before the first event 2-weeks from now!! Can't wait!
