2016 Camaro 2ss exhaust no NPP

Hey guys! I just bought a 2016 camaro 2ss and I don't believe it has the app exhaust (no quad tips). However, when I cold start it has quite a rasp, but then I can hear the exhaust note change as if a baffle is closing about a minute after it warms up. Is this an exhaust valve closing in the system or what? I thought about upgrading to a Borla cat back ( the factory is about 20 minutes away from where I live), but I didn't want to mess up the system and if I had an exhaust valve, I want to hear more of difference. I hope this isn't confusing, but I'm looking to learn about my factory setup before I modify it. Thanks for any info!

No. It's just the sound of the engine and the exhaust as they reach operating temperature. No quad tips, no NPP.

So I had my car at the dealer for a warranty issue concerning the torque converter. They did the flush on the transmission and all that stuff. None the less I asked to look at the exhaust. There are two valves (one on each side) for the Active Fuel Management system. The tech called them AFV's They open and close depending on whether the car is in V4 mode ( for back pressure) or open for V8 mode. If I went with a car back exhaust, would this system be affected ( as in a negative way) if it's removed?

Yes it will throw a CEL unless you turn the AFM valves off in the tune. It will also sound like crap if you don't turn AFM off all together.
