Alarm-type chime on startup

Hey all,

Since picking up my '19 SS last week, I've noticed a strange issue with the car. When starting it after it's been parked for more than 30-45 minutes, an alarm issues from the front driver side dash area. It also seems to be increasing in frequency as well, now chiming 10-11 times.

I called OnStar about it and they were no help. Thinking I might drop off at the dealer to have it addressed, but thought I would come here first in case it's a common issue and I just suck at Googling. I have a video I can post if need be.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Kris

I'm starting to think it's something that the dealership might have installed. No warning messages on the screen or lights.

It's silly, but "pew pew pew" is the best description I've heard!

Just got some info from the dealership. The car came with a lojack type system and they hadn't adjusted the range beyond the dealership...go figure. They're getting it fixed first thing tomorrow.

Useless.. tell them to take it off and get back your money. Onstar offers similar feature that does not rely on 80's technology.

Agreed. It was thrown in with the extended warranty, but given the annoyance, I might see if they can do something for me. If not, no big deal. I'm not a fan of gimmicky crap though.
