Actually like the 2019 tail lights
16-18 look like Corvette tail lights too much
Now 19 SS front end ugh lol

When I first went in to buy a ZLE I only saw pics of the 19 tail lights and I didn’t like them in the pics. Now I have seen maybe 6 19 models in front of me. I’m starting to really like them. Moreso then the 18s. I’m glad I was forced to order a 19 ZLE now. I was just gonna live with the lights. Now I think they look pretty deadly.
I still really like the blacked out 18 model tail lights. The red ones don’t do anything for me.

Rear tail lights kinda growing on me but don’t bother me as much as the side mirrors do. I’d rather see the 5th gen side mirrors on a 6th gen. Don’t believe the body lines will allow though.

Agreed. I liked the concept mirrors, would love to see someone make those for the 6th GEN. I had a set for my 5th.

I love them.... they do look alot better in person..... also since these kinda "pop out" giving it kinda a 3d look the rear end actual looks wider to me tied up with the rear diffuser notch on the sides..... it looks better imo.... the front end its a different story... doesnt look like a sports car at all... but trust me guys the rear fits better on this car... they look "beefier".

Dang. That’s actually a fantastic color combination. I wonder how well that translates to the front end.

So what is the verdict? Can the 2019 tail lights be retrofitted on a 2016-18 Camaro. I really like them too.

Oh they certainly can. You just need more than the lights themselves. The bumper cover is specially shaped for the new lights. I'm not sure if the clips underneath are different, I think I might have read that.

I think the new lights and new bumper (they took away those damn lines under the lights that the 2016 had) look amazing, I really liked them at the reveal, and since then they have only grown on me. A 2016 front with that 2019 rear end would be a perfect looking 6 gen camaro.

Doing this conversion is top on my mods list at the moment.

So a 2019 ZL1 sounds like your ideal car.

I just want a ZL1 in general haha.

2019 Light Harness is different than 2018. The lights fit perfectly but you need a 2019 wire harness if you want to install them on a 2016-2018.

Here’s what i’ve gathered. 1) you need a harness ($85 from gen5diy) 2) You need the 2019 rear bumper or you have the big empty gap between the lights. 3) Someone else stated the trunk doesnt close due to something else having to be modified.
