Appreciate the write up there! Mine is very minor but it's there on the passenger side and bugs the hell out of me. I might do the zip ties and see if that does it. Hopefully the 2019+ tails are a simple remove. I just don't want to deal with removing a new bumper. Going to a dealer is equally a pain from the time lost going there and common dealership woes.

Since the rear bumper cover must be removed to remove the tail light housings, I'm inclined to believe the aforementioned zip tie fix is only applicable to the 2016-2018 model years.

I was actually just looking at youtube and couldnt find any tail light removals to see if this would work. :/ looks like i'll just have to get the dealer involved when i take it in for my first service.

Glad I saw this thread.. my passenger rear does this all the time, I push it back in but it always pops out.. I'll try the zip tie method.

Worked on my 2017 SS 1LE and my 18 ZL1 1LE...

That alignment bugged me and I wasn't willing to go to a dealer to fix it.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but has anyone found a fix for the 2019+ owners (besides taking it to the dealer or removing the complete bumper)? I have a 2021 SS 1LE with this issue that bugs the crap out of me!

LOL I would use a good body shop over a dealership every time. The problem starts with Chevy employees in the first place...
