Exhaust on V6 is too loud...

Yesterday I bought a 2017 Camaro RS with the V6 and automatic and 10k miles. The Borla exhaust is a little louder than I would like so is there a factory muffler that will bolt on to make it quieter? Thanks....

I just recently installed the Magnaflow X Pipe and it made it much quieter than I would’ve liked. Improves performance slightly too from what I hear

Yes. They're not very big. Do they even make mufflers that small?

I'm close to Louisville and have a stock exhaust on my car. I might consider swapping if you'd be interested.

The salesman at the GMC/Buick dealer said the Borla exhaust was stock. Is that wrong? So a used car salesman lied? I guess there's a first time for everything....

That borla exhaust is about like $700 to 900 bucks. I mean you can search the YouTube video of a stock exhaust and decide if you want to trade it with someone or not

I did a little research and saw them advertised on eBay for $895 so I'll have to figure out what to do now. Thanks for the info....

I have placed an ad in the classified section looking for someone to trade their stock mufflers straight across for my Borlas which would also include them removing the mufflers from their car and my car and then installing them on both cars....

Is this what the stock muffler for my car looks like? Does anyone in my area have one lying around that they want to sell cheap? This one is over 400 miles away in Georgia unfortunately....

Yes, that's the stock base exhaust.

OK, Thanks. So is this a simple bolt on piece or does it need to be welded on? If so how much should it cost for the welding? Thanks....

It will have to be welded in. The price is going to depend on where you go, could be anywhere from $50-$150.

I went with the borla S type is the one right under the attack. Much more subtle of a sound but the same performance I think. Really rethinks trading for a stock system. That blue is a high performance and you won't get the same feel out of a stock muffler. If you're going to trade I would trade for something after market at least or trade for your system plus some cash to someone with a stock system.
