I worked as a total loss manager for one of the big box ins companies which is what got me started buying and selling higher end slavage cars on the side. Yes this 1LE is actually considered not bad. to the average person without exp or a lot of knowledge it looks horribe but in reality no it's not bad at all. salvage title means little to nothing depending on how properly it was repaired. I carry full ins on my salvaged Zl1 and Z06 and denali and if you look at them or put on any frame machine you could never tell them from factory. Only difference is I have a 2018 Zl1 for under 27k and a modded 2016 Z06 for under 22k plus a 2018 Denali diesel hd for 25k and all are mint. I would have zero issues selling any one of them without pocketing 12k+ cash profit.

please explain how? I support myself off of buying and selling salvaged higher end cars and I live damn well. I have zero issues selling my salvaged cars and I don't sell them cheap either.

I wouldn't claim any expertise and I am sure many vehicles are straight after being on an alignment machine. But ...

The damage to the unibody below the A pillar looks like it was pushed in and twisted and I would think that this may not be pulled out easily as far as being straight in all three planes is concerned due to the complexity of the location on the car for not only body panel fit but also for locating front and rear suspension in relation to each other, important on a track oriented car.

I've been doing what goonnsquad does longer and have done wonders. it sucks I never thought to youtube it bc it is almost unbelievable

That ZL1 doesn't look near as bad as the 1LE in question.
All damage to the extreme front end, nothing past the front fenders, no doors, no rear quarters, no air bag deployment.

The salvage title will certainly affect the value when the person who buys it has to insure the car won’t it ? Will they be able to insure it for full replacement value , I don’t think so unless it a a state to state thing.

Salvage title means a lot to most people. Hell, I won't buy a vehicle that's been in any accident and most people I know feel the same. Can't imagine buying a 15k dollar vehicle that's been in accidents, let alone 40k dollar ones.

I carry full coverage on all my rebuilt salvage vehicles (travelers ins) and they deduct 20% if it's a total loss. I'd personally never buy a brand new or clean title car again (after saving what I save) and all my badass cars are paid in full no payments.

People keep saying salvage title. This car does not have a salvage title. Its clear. Probably didnt run it through insurance, or wrecked it at the track. Either way clear title is worth a whole lot more than a salvaged title same wrecked car.

I sold my 2016 cts v (V3) for a lot of $ with a r title (without trying).

my 2016 Z06 and 2018 denali diesel are just as nice as any clean title but I can profit at least 20k on each if I decide to sell right now.

Yes, rebuilding a car from a serious wreck is worth time/effort if you are doing majority of the work. This particular 1LE would be questionable to fix from a hard side impact that exposes all of the front tire, damage pushed up and into the A-pillar, door pushed passed the door seal, roof buckle. That is what seen from just the picture.

As mentioned possible floor pan and fire wall damage is sure sign that it would take a lot with frame machine t square up. Why go down that rabbit hole, find something less risk.

The YouTube hype on fixing salvage has increased prices of scoring a good deal or finding higher end cars before others know of it.

I admit following goonzsquad and others is good reference of starting out but as my main bread winner for income why hassle. They do put on a good show of trial and error with being new to the game. FAST02Z06 looks to be doing it right and is seasoned but I would pass on this 1LE as a project unless it was dirt..dirt cheap.. gives more room for mods and such in the end..
