Delete my rear sway bar?

How would the car handle?

Wondering would it unload the inside wheel in a turn thus losing bite off the corner?
You know better than I the bars help dial in/balance front vs rear grip (I followed your advice and made big gains in corner speed...thanks) so I'm not quite sure the exact change in handling. Years ago I ran an SCCA IT/A VW Golf, Front bar, no rear bar big spring rates, I could get some oversteer but it was FWD. Honestly I think you should stay with the current bars, maybe readjust them (?). OK my two cents.

You'll make the car more understeer prone due to pushing the roll stiffness distribution way forward (since now the only thing fighting vehicle roll in the rear is the outside spring). Basically when you soften the roll rate of an axle you increase lateral grip on that axle and decrease it on the other.

Nick and I met a guy (at NJMP) with a completely race prepared ZLE by phoenix racing in PA, that swore that his rear end became way more stable and improved grip with the deletion of the rear SB. Hence the question....

Removal of the bar may sound silly to you but Phoenix Racing in PA is SCCA national champs for many many years. They know a little something. This doesn't mean that I will try it but wanted to get conversation started.

I wonder what suspension mods they added to compensate? Is their sway bar removal part of a whole suspension “package?”

We did it on our FRS race car because we had problems putting the power down coming out of curves but we were racing with street tires so don't know if it will help a car on slick.

Also, our driver likes it soft with some body roll and the removal helped up prevent the inside wheel lifting up on a very fast and long curve hitting the curbs.

Car is a lot lighter though so i don't know if it can relate.

I could believe it. Might need some additional tweaks to get the balance just right but it's definitely feasible to do right, especially if it's fully prepped. If you really want to answer the question just take one of the rear links off next time you head out to the track and tell us what it does lol.

Alpha1BC, good idea certainly easily done and if too much front push you could soften front bar.
