FYI check w/ dealer on tire prices SC3's

So, for those of you who are interested in replacing tires, dealer seems to have pretty great price on the EAGLE F1 SUPERCAR 3

Fronts: 248.98 each
Rears: 272.92 each
total: 1043.80

And if you buy before sep 30th an extra 100 rebate.

I don't know anyone who can beat that price.

Cool.

You can beat that price 2 ways:

- Tire Rack has a sale on tires that are a few years old. Seems the supply is somehow never ending.

- If you're a USAA member go through their site for a 25% discount.

Thanks for the heads up, I often wonder about the discontinued/older tires. I've heard some places like to give you a hard time if the tires are x amount of years old.

Unfortunately, i'm not a usaa memeber but next time i'll try to find someone who is ;-).

I'm not to happy though w/ dealership they seem to always have new service people who don't know their products very well. One guy asked me what a 1le is and another was asking me if this model uses 2 peice rotors..

Had to tell guy bunch of times about Fe4 aliment and he just looked at me like a deer in headlights. he said if they punch in camaro to the machine it should know which one. i'm like

Many dealers will have the latest equipment to mount low profile tires onto larger wheels without causing damage. And as you discovered, their prices are very competitive.

While I usually use DISCOUNT TIRE for our daily driver, I'd rather not have a set of new ZL1 tires (or expensive oem wheels) damaged there. That said, DISCOUNT would probably price match the dealer price. Make sure you tell them about the rebate.

I think I remember seeing them for $863 a set and then $100 rebate.

Human error will always be an issue, ran over a nail and since I purchased the tire warranty took it to the dealership

Damaged rear wheel but ordered a new one before I knew anything about it,it took a couple of weeks for the tire to come

I wasn’t asked to return the damaged wheel, which isn’t actually damaged just scratched

Axle at a time at the minimum.
Front pair, or rear pair.
Unless a fairly new tire needs replacement, then just that one.

If you have the funds, I suggest doing all 4 at the same time. It keeps the balance of the car at the limit better.

Since I don't track , my wear ratio is usually 2:1, rear to front. with 4 fresh tires the car is very neutral at the limit, as the rear wears, it tends to oversteer.

If you just replace the rear, then you would move it to understeer, so to keep things balanced, I replace all 4 at the same time.

The first 2,500 miles of the new tires life, the car is an absolute blast and both ends just stick.

USAA discount is 30% but according to Goodyear website the normal SC3 can't be ordered on-line but you can get the 3R. Go figure. Given the nature of the code, I suspect you don't have to be a USAA member to use the code.

I have been buying Tires from Tire Rack for years. Your Deal sounded too good to be True so I checked.

my question -
I was told that you give a Discount for USAA Members - True?

Answer - I'm sorry that is not true. We don't offer coupon or discount codes as we provide our best prices right up front. We do have mail-in rebates available on select tires. If a mail-in rebate is available on a specific tire, it will be shown when viewing the tire on our website.

BMR sales, I think you combined DaveC's two ways to get tires into one way.

First option is Tire Racks seemingly endless supply of 2-3 year old Goodyears.

Second option is if you are a USAA member, you can go to the USAA website and get a 25% discount on Goodyear tires.
