Can I? Will this work?

I would like to know if the 2.0 turbo suitcase style exhaust will work on my 2SS. I know the pipes on the 2.0 are 2.25" and my 2SS are 2.75" so I will need to reduce a little. But the big concern I have, is going from quad to dual outlets without NNP. I need the 2.0 exhaust to handle 3500RPM for 60 seconds without building too much backpressure.

I know I am over thinking this, but I desperately need this to work to pass a vehicle inspection and register under 103 decibels. This is the only muffler I can find locally. Otherwise, I am out of options for a stock exhaust in the next 10 days.

And, I don't have my secondary cats to put back in either.

Should be fine. The exhaust gasses should cool enough to condense by the time they get to the mufflers to prevent excessive back pressure for 60 seconds..

Seems like a royal PIA to swap exhausts just to pass inspection. Are your sure stealth mode won’t work?

Yes, unfortunately stealth mode still registers 103 @ 3000RPM with Borla S-type. This is a HUGE pain. And costly too. All I can do is bend over at this time or they will pull my plates next time they see me. No common sense here. Diesels are louder, Busses are louder, The sky train is louder. But nope, I have to return everything back to stock or make it quiter than 86DBs. (impossible honestly) I really don't have a clue what to do here and I am grasping onto any idea that comes my way. Even will my cats back in it won't be under 103.

Yep, makes no sense at all, since the stock NPP on the SS "weighs in" at 95 dB (not sure if the same method/distance is used in Canada for SPL measurement, though, but the same car with the same specs is sold there, so...).

Is the test run at no load? Either way, the exhaust flow will be low at that low engine speed (regardless of load) - I would not expect any issues.

It really only seems to be a "Vancouver" thing. They have been all over the news for their "targeted" Vehicle inspections. One guy literally drove his new Porsche of the lot and got a VI within 10 mins of ownership. Cost him over $400 in inspection fees, ect and had to get a letter directly from Porsche in Germany to call out the BS.

Back in the day if we wanted to quickly quiet an exhaust, we'd stuff steel wool in it. It would quickly burn/blow out depending on how it was stuffed in there, and we didn't think/care about backpressure.
Kinda redneck, but...you said you wanted any ideas. lol

I'm not familiar with the Borla design, but could you clamp a Supertrapp disc pack on the outlets?

Also turndowns might help a little depending on how they measure.
