can the PAC AP4-GM61 or NAVTV M650-GM be used in the 1SS 1LE?

Sorry to revive an old thread....

Would you mind posting those graphs, or at least posing what was exactly was truncated based on your microphone testing.

Could it be that the microphone was simply reporting on what a inefficient stock rear-speaker actually transmits, or if it's the actual signal that's being truncated (before the speaker)

I'm interested in learning if the lower frequencies are cut off, or if it's the highs.

IIRC, it was an obvious low-pass. Fortunately, since this thread started, there are now several MOST options, so designing a system using high-level inputs is no longer a necessary evil.

Can you give some examples of the MOST solutions available today?
I was thinking about the NAV-TV, but it is damn expensive...+ not certain that it supports the tuner in the 1SS/1LE models

There’re at least two threads in the audio sub forum that discuss the MOST options.

I can confirm that the PAC AP4-GM61 WORKS with the 1SS 1LE. It also gives out center/sub channel signal despite not having neither of those channels from factory.

Did you have to update the firmware to get AM/FM to work? And does it control the chime level

To the AM/FM to work, dipswitch 3 in the on(down) position. I did update to the newest firmware, takes about 10 mins total. Downloading and setting up the software too.

Yes you can can control the chime level.

^Good to know. Seems like a great option to control chimes, along with the optical out to a DSP.

The only other option that controls chimes, apart from the $850 NAV-TV unit, is the Axxess AX-DSP, but from what I've read it lowers the music on the driver side speaker which would get annoying.

A cheaper plug and play alternative:

This one integrates a DSR-1. Neither of these will control the chimes however:

The most streamlined option right now seems to be the AmpPRO using optical out to a DSP/amp hybrid like a JL VXi or Helix P Six.

Can you also confirm that it works on a 1SS-1LE (MY 2017, where no 2SS with Bose Amp and system were yet available)?

It clearly reads in the instructions that the requirement is to have a Bose system in the mix.

He wrote 1SS in that same post. Also people are using the GM61 on the trucks with IO5 and without amp, which is the same system. The Bose requirement was to get AM/FM/SAT to work which has been fixed with a firmware update as stated above.

Thanks for the heads-up This is good news and opens another option to the NAV-TV unit and for a considerably lower price. Good thing about the NAV TV unit, that its D/A Processor is state of the art and provides High-End Audiophile sound, something I do not know if holds true with the GM61

Here's an AmpPRO install on a non-Bose no amp Silverado. HMI is in a different location, but it's the same principle.

They do mention that FM & Satellite radio are not stereo unless you have Bose. However since getting Spotify I haven't used the radio once so it's not an issue for me.

Excellent! Great information here. Would you know if the AP-4 has a built in D/A chip like the NAV-TV?
Apparently the NAV-TV has a very high quality Chip (I think it is a Wolfson Audio 48 Bit?) for this matter, so the low level sound output to the aftermarket power amplifiers' inputs will be of highest grade.
