Unless you are going open lug design for a different look, all that is needed are caps to hide the chrome. This way you also keep the safety and integrity of the stock lugs.

I have been contemplating whether to paint them black or not. Or get some black ones.

I just might do what you did. Should I paint the center or not?

thx

The lug nuts I received with the mrr wheels I bought from phastek ARE gorilla lug nuts. Just a FYI. Maybe they changed now but a year or so ago that’s what I got.

Now that you mention it they are, I just checked the key sticker I put on the trunk lid. The large cone are GTG the narrow ones are not only rusted but distorted where the socket contacts them, I only use hand tools and a torque wrench. I just put the OEM rims back on today so I'll reach out to them about replacing them, must be a bad batch.

Same here, my black lug nuts came in a Gorilla box from Phastek.

I have the Gorilla chrome on factory wheels. I've had caps before and they're great.

This is why I hate aftermarket wheels. It's always something. UGH!

McGard is the only good choice imo. Expensive but worth it. Some Gorilla lugs are ok, some seem to corrode, but the splined locks are worthless.

McGard sells splined lugs too, and a kit with splines + locks for all 4 wheels for $159:
