Finally got my rear view camera mount fabricated recently. Had to mock it up with cardboard and then sheet metal to be sure it was angled forward enough to clear the top as it is going up and down. It's cut out of 1/8 inch aluminum.

FINALLY, installed my GM-CAI tonight. Had a couple of WTF moments, but I usually take the instructions too literally anyway. Test drive went well. Definitely a different sound, not too sure about the butt dunno yet. Didn’t really get her warmed up.
FYI, I will be adding a catch can soon. While I had the throttle body off I took a look inside and saw some light brown liquid. Not a lot, but it was there. Gotta look REALLY hard dead center of the pic. The lighting is horrible.

YAY, INSTALLED!!!

Noises are nicer and the car still feels strong. The throttle response may be a bit crisper.

Bought some new chairs for the shows. Not a perfect match but good enough!

Well, technically it's not _to_ it, yet... But I bought some winter wheels for it.

Really like those chairs. Like that the back is made of mesh. My back is soaked with sweat sitting at car shows. Colors are a match. Wonder if they sell them without the canopy?

No shame in taking your bought car. You earned the right to go just the same. It's still a great car and the 1LE is really not that common.

I know I won't hesitate taking mine.

Meh, it's all good. The reason I sold my show car was due to boredom from sitting around at shows all day. I wanted a car to have fun with driving and not having to worry about getting rock chips on custom paint and putting wear and tear on a custom car. Us guys that had customs and classics couldn't stand the store bought cars entering the shows and getting trophies. Lol we had all spent dump truck loads of $, time, blood, sweat, and tears on our cars and these guys spent an hour or two at a dealership writing checks and a couple more hours washing and waxing. :-/

My Camaro is meant for driving pleasure not car shows. Nothing against anyone going to shows and being proud of their cars, it's just not my thing for this car.

I too had a show car and it was fun. Like you I put a boatload of money and time in it and was paranoid about where I would take it. Once I got my Camaro Fifty I felt a relief. However, I do take it to car shows as there aren't many Fifty Editions around here so it gets a lot of looks and comments and let's face it, that is what these shows are all about. If you have a nice car share it with other enthusiasts. Many with the taste the same as you and admire your car. I look at them all when I go.....well except maybe the RatRods. Just not my thing even thou some are very imaginative.
