Wheel Horsepower/Torque
Hey guys, just installed my headers/e85 flex fuel kit with tune. I also have a GM CAI. I dynoed at 437 WHP and 451 Wheel torque. Any idea on what that would be at the crank. My tuner says his dyno reads lower than most dynos around my area.

Who cares about crank #'s? Hopefully you aren't out bragging about crank #'s

I say brag away. When I'm asked, I'll respond with 1000, but I'm right at 1400 at the crank with a 19% loss in an automatic. I put 1350 in my car info on here, that's a 15% loss. 1174rwhp is the actual dyno #. Who cares what # you say if it's accurate in any capacity? Crank or to the wheels.

Well, US manufacturer specs also list crank horsepower/torque numbers, so it has some limited use for comparison to stock numbers, even though not overly useful in practice indeed.

I’m wanting to know for my personal knowledge. I’m not out there telling everyone I see my power numbers just wanting to know for myself and if anyone asks, why not tell them?

OP, please pull your engine and put it on an engine dyno to confirm for us
Only way to get that exact number. And there is an SAE procedure for testing engine HP. No such thing for WHP that I know of.
