Pony wars, why?

https://www.horsepowerwars.com/horse...ttle-is-tight/

The stock Camaro made 50 HP more than the stock Mustang, my question is why after: tune, headers (cat deletes), MSD intake manifold, Holley? CAI did the Camaro make only 10 more peak HP. Yes at the top end 37 HP was made, but 10 HP peak? I can think of in logical order:
1) The Camaro needs a larger or ported TB
2) The Holley? CAI was worth negative HP
3) The tuner sucks

What are your thoughts? Also note there is no classic mid-range torque drop from the MSD.. hmm very strange dyno.

The Mustang did really well with bolt-ons, basically the factory intake manifold and header are sucky.. Picking up 46ish HP (vs 10 for the Camaro)... Torque is still blah.

Probably the least cost effective method of making more power on a camaro. Flex fuel and a tune alone would be under $1,000 and probably make more power and save $4,000 lol.

I've never seen any of these "magazines" or whatever you wanna call 'em really have any clue how to actually mod performance cars. The sponsors call in their list of parts and regardless of what they are and they're bolted on. Sponsors posted all over that link. It's not a true test for either car.

Yeah my thoughts Holley is a sponsor (assumed) so they went with the MSD and Holley? CAI, Any build going procharger anyway would have done ported TB and stock TM for $600 and "save" the extra $1200 for women and booze. Probably make more power and torque too.
