I read the comments on the papers they gave me, which said that a "dummy vehicle" with IO6 RPO has the auto door unlock options. The guys at the shop mentioned that they have a few 18 Crush Hot Wheels lying around, so they could have tested it on that.

But yeah, if someone with a 19+ w/navigation(so 3LT or 2SS/ZL1 with it optioned) can chime in, that could help me see if the dealer's explanation is true.

And yes, I agree with you that I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a mistake in the firmware for the IOT...

2020 2SS w/ Navigation and M6 transmission. I have the option.

Either your dealer is mistaken, or it's (as has been suggested already) a Canada-specific thing (although I would expect footnotes in the manual about it not being available on all vehicles or similar).

That's good to know.

Unfortunately, there is only one GM dealer near me. It doesn't bother me too much now(really just a paranoia). I will ask other dealers in British Columbia when I move there later.

Maybe post in your regional forum for another '19 or '20 owner with an SS to chime in, or you could try reaching out directly to GM.

Have you looked at the software information for the infotainment? Have you tried updating it?

Mine reads V807 for the build number, and no updates V146 or V148. Can't find any updates with OTA.

I did a quick Google search and saw this from the Cadillac forum:

Seems like 2019 and 2020 GM cars have different versions. 2019 has the V807 as the latest while 2020 has the W119E as the latest.

The next thing I would try and determine is if whether YOUR 2019 w/ NAVI has the same software as someone ELSE with a 2019 w/ NAVI, and then see if they have that option in their settings for the Auto Unlock...
