Get ready for a bunch of threads with people complaining that it's not available in an auto.

Potential "cheap" light track car.
What do the turbo four cars weigh 3300ish?

All the 1le versions came in manual only.

As a 2016 owner that wanted a 1LE model, bit with auto... just by a base auto car and add the 1le goodies. Problem solved.

Prolly cheaper to just buy the 1LE and swap out to auto at a speed shop.

I'm assuming you meant 3240. Chevrolet's website shows the turbo 4 Camaro weighing at 3354.

Highly unlikely that would be cheaper than just swapping the suspension components and brakes. Even if there was a stand alone 8l45 system, the trans, harness, and module alone would probably be more $
If there isn't a stand alone option, then you get into far more complex issues trying to integrate the human interface stuff and triggers with the bcm.. I'm not even sure who is capable of making all that work correctly. If you want the auto, better start with the auto.

You are overlooking MRC, along with numerous other details like the Recaros, HUD, eLSD, all the coolers, that would add up to be well over just a trans swap.

I'll give you my opinion on what car i think of in terms of an I4 turbo lightweight. The fiat spider abarth. Basically the miata with the turbo 4 from the 500 abarth. Saw one the other day with the top down. It actually looked nice. Dual exhaust tips with a nice exhaust note. I bet with an ecu tune and bolt ons you could get close to 280hp to the wheels

If we were talking the V8 sure, but this is about the I4. It doesn't get MRC or ELSD.. As far as the coolers go, you could just add HD brake and cooling package to further reduce costs of conversion VS trans swap.
Not that it matters anyway, I don't know of a single successful TR3160 to 8L45 swap. So you would be on your own when issues arise with tuning and operation.

You're right, I was going off on the SS 1LE, my bad.

During my search of Camaros I ran across a couple cars where the dealer tried to piece together a 1LE with individual parts and only got about half way there if that, and it added up to way more than just getting a 1LE.
