98 Wrangler Frame Swap
I bought a 98 4.0 5 speed wrangler with 107k miles on it last week. I had intended to patch the section of the frame. Turned out that it had rusted pretty bad from the inside out.
Now the fun begins I'm starting to disassemble to swap it When I got it. Some rust to take care of started to tear front end apart |

I don't think it will go too bad. I've got to make plates with nuts on them to replace the rusted out parts for the body mounts. It'll take some time, but fortunately I have all the jeep parts I could want at a salvage jeep place 10 minutes away.

We call them the girls and boys jeeps. The TJ is the girls jeep, 3" lift 33's, 6cyl, auto trans, more of a beach cruiser. The LJ is the boys jeep, 3" lift, 33's, 6 cyl, stick. Set up to play!

That's my DD. Love it, first gear is like a granny, with the six speed. Rolls down the highway just fine. Drags the boat as needed!
The TJ is an 02, with 94k on the clock. LJ is an 05, 56k on that one.

Forgot that would have a 6 speed. Dana 44? I'm curious how mine does when I get to the point of driving it.... Low miles!

All the LJ's came with Dana 44 rear axle, 3.73 and a limited slip. D30 up front.
