I average around 14. Mostly in-town driving, and the need to hear that perfect exhaust note on every shift.

Bought my car in Ohio and had a little over 200 mile drive home. Took it easy, probably got on and off the highway 7-8 times breaking it in and still got close to 30mpg. Usually get in the low to mid 20's with mixed driving, in the teens driving it hard. It's a 6-speed.

When driving normal:
17 MPG 100% street 27 MPG 100% highway 22 MPG Mixed. When driving spirited...I don't care about gas mileage. |

Terribly disappointed it's so thrifty. Single digits would really make me feel like my carbon footprint is making a real difference. |

Lifetime average is 23.4 MPG with 14.9k miles. I have a 22 mile commute (mixed highway and surface streets) each way to work with about 1000’ elevation change. Also I’m at roughly 7000’ and our Premium is 91.
Occasional spirited driving.

I have an A8 convertible and run 93 octane premium. I average ~ 23 mpg in rush hour traffic and got over 30 mpg on my last highway road trip (both ways) with the top down. I'm impressed that the car can run a 12 sec 1/4 mile and still get that kind of fuel economy.
