Most people dont consider supercharged/turbo charged to be part of the bolt on group. Might be why some people were confused. But of course, hitting 600rwhp is totally possible if you go FI. Otherwise, get a big cam and run nitrous. Really your only options. I think twin turbo on our cars would be a sweet set up.

I wouldn't consider a forced induction as a bolt on because you have to dig into the engine. I'm upgrading my L99 with a small pulley supercharger and cam and should be around 650rwhp with the setup that I'm planning on. It is possible to get there, but it is one of those, you have to pay to play things.

I 2nd the ZL1 option. I'm at 20,000 miles on bone stock transmission on back! 11,000 miles at this power level. Granted it's 90% hwy miles but you will need a ton of upgrades to get this kind of reliability out of your car, not to mention all the other goodies that come with this car. 600rwhp on a ZL1 almost comes by accident, very easy car to mod! Good luck with your decision!

Since you said 600hp and not 600rwhp, I think it's possible to get there with full bolts on's, cam, heads, and a dynojet...525rwhp, puts you right around 600hp

600 engine hp? Probably need a stroker kit to guarantee you hit it, that number will be hard to hit on stock cubes with H/C/I

600 rhwp? Not going to happen with bolt ons. Either do bolt ons + spray or just build for FI, LSA is pretty cheap and would be able to get you there compared to other options.

Big cam&nitrous, or big cam with ported heads. ZL1 is the wise option. Staying N/A is the best if you keep your car. FI cost a lot and drivetrain wont last.

VVT cam kit from GPI will be a killer combo.

This. Pretty much. Big HP is a drug. You have to have the means to support the habit. Me, I live vicariously though the lucky and not-so lucky right here. Really, you probably need two Camaros - one to drive and enjoy and one to mod the living sh*t out of and wrench on it when you WANT to, not when you HAVE to. Honestly, that is probably the 'smartest' solution.
