Started my 1LE A6 conversion

I just started my 1LE A6 conversion, by ordering the strut tower brace (yes I know small/slow start)

Next will be a ZL1 suede steering wheel with the SS trim piece.

And the 1LE got that from the convertible.

Wouldn't a conversion cost a lot and void warranty?

Seems like you're buying everything besides what NEEDS to be done to convert to an A6. Doesn't make much sense to me. You sure you're making it an A6?

Why? *One* of the great things about the 1le is the close ratio m6.

Why not use better aftermarket parts?

If you don't mind me asking, why didn't you just buy a 1LE? I mean seeing as you have a 2013 SS

I thought this topic was about transmission swaps when I entered, and I was about to rant about how dumb of an idea that would be.

Let's see where you're at right now. Current photos.

Are you going for 1LE appearance? or actual 1LE trim and suspension components?

Im so confused with this thread? Are you a 1LE that is converting the M6 for the A6? Do you have an SS A6 and transforming it into a 1LE via performance parts (suspension and all those goodies), or are you just going for the appearance of the 1LE?

I get that he's a 1LE fan with a regular A6/L99 car. So thus he's doing the conversion.

That's what I'm thinking. I wouldn't mind having all the cosmetics and suspensions..
