Great advice, and I agree with that last statement 100%. As much trash as I talk about quality issues with the GT350, it is still the only car I have considered trading up to at this time.

I have lusted over that thing since the 2015's, and still talk myself in to and out of buying one as I look through cargurus.

See, I feel the same. Every time I see one I'm like, that bich is bad. I know they are underwhelming on performance, but I don't care this time around as it's a 2nd car. Besides, I'll intake and tune it just to get it some more grunt. But, we'll see. I haven't heard back from the Ford dealership yet. I'll be hunting the rest of this month for a 2nd ride. But, as mentioned, If I can find me a decent deal on a Zl1 1LE, I might go that route. There was one here in Houston, but it's White. I either want the Nightfall Gray or that Redish/Maroon color they have. I see 2 in Houston, one White, the others Black.

Someone said the '19's are coming out. Do we have a date on that when they will hit the floors?

Exactly!! A bad bitch indeed!!!

The performance is 'underwhelming' in many categories, but not all of them. I think as a daily driver it is likely a bit boring as you can't spin the engine enough within legal speed limits. On the track however, I think it would rival most any car as far as enjoyment and engaging drive, and in the end of the day that really is all that matters...how much we love driving the cars we own.

There are tons for sale used, I think if you are serious and are willing to travel or get it shipped then you could easily find one spec'd exactly how you want it.

This article says early 2019, so you would have a while to wait man.

The ZL1LE and 350R are for serious track people, however the R is probably slightly more forgiving on the street and will probably retain better value. If none of these things are serious considerations for you then a '18 350 would probably be the best choice since you already own a ZL1.

wait for the '19's to come out and there should be some movement on the 18's

I'll say it again. With the Mustang, make sure you aren't simply falling for it without knowing whether or not you really will like it based on the performance. The S550s were the hot ticket when I got mine. And after seeing a few of them around I just had to have one. And that was the worst purchase I ever did. I still regret it. While I had it I tried to talk myself into liking it but the more I tried the more I realized the mistake I made. The car was nice. It got compliments...not as many as my SS did and definitely not as many as my ZL1 or HC does. But it got compliments. And it had lots of nice features. But the biggest problem was the extreme lack of performance. Granted the GT350 will have more. But it still doesn't have enough for that price tag. And even tho you tell yourself or try to rationalize that this is just gonna be a second car and you have your killer car, you're still going from your ZL1 to something that performs on the SS level but for about $15K more than the SS. So just be careful. Don't get caught up in it. Because that was a miserable drive home for me after I signed for my GT. And it cost me $10K in depreciation a year later. At $65K, make sure that whatever you get is something you're gonna love.

I'm with ya my man. But, I'm just looking at the market for cars at $65k range and honestly, there aren't many and that's what sux. haha. Not for us true performance guys. And I won't buy used btw unless it has like 1000 miles or less.

I like the 350. That's still tops. Maybe a Q series coupe Infiniti. I can get those in the $40's. It's luxury with some sport to it. As mentioned, this isn't my drag your ass race car, I have that already. Bmw is out. Mercedes is out. What it does is show you how much of a bargain the Zl1 really is once you get out there and actually start shopping. Shoot, I can find me a used Zl1 for the $50k's range right now, but I don't want 2 Zl1's in the garage. It's tough. Not alot of choices honestly. But, eh, it's whatever right. I'm going to end up with whatever I end up with. Just depends on the deal. And here I thought $62k was actually a good price for a new 350. haha. If I didn't get on here last night, I prob would of scooped it up.

I can wait. For those that know me know I'm a compulsive buyer so. If I see something and the deal can get done, I usually do it. We'll see what happens. Ford still hasn't called me which most likely means they didn't like my proposal. I told them I'd put $7500 down but I wanted it under $60k.

Sick price, but can't do 11000 miles. I have an '18 with only 7000 miles and I think I drive alot. If it had closer to 5k at that price, oh yea, I'd be all over it. $59k? That is a good price tho. Perfect color combo too.

I might go check out a White one over at Munday this weekend to see how it looks in person. A neighor of mine has that maroon color in the Zl1 1LE, every time I see it, I stare so.
