People are way overreacting. There has only been a handful of people who have run their ZL1s so far. I am willing to bet in favorable conditions, temp and lower DA, the car has a 10 in it. Most people are trying to break in their cars still. I am just waiting to get some time to go to the track or I would have been on Friday if I got my car. But so far in the 3 days that I have had it, it does feel like it getting faster the more I drive it. Then again, it could be my imagination.

Just because someone can buy a ZL1 and pay an entry fee at a track doesn't mean they know how to drive the car to it's potential. Some are going to be sorely disappointed and others will be hero's.

If the car were closer to 10s or had a higher mph you might think it had a shot but given the 11:30s-11:40s on stock tires and a relatively low mph 124-125 I doubt its going to happen without a tune, even then it might be tough. Drag radials have been tried on several occasions now and they have provided very minimal gains so they aren't the answer. Tune and DRs maybe but then you aren't stock any longer and your warranty is gone.

There is absolutely nothing disappointing about this ZL1. Yes, there is torque management that keeps the car from leaving as hard as it could, but that is nothing that cannot be addressed with the push of a button.

This is great news!!

124-125 mph is more then enough to run a 10 second pass. It way too early to jump to conclusions. There have been only a handful of people that have gotten a A10 and even fewer that have taken it to the track. And out of the people who have run it so far, it's less then optimal in temp and DA. A 10 second pass bone stock is going to happen. The stars and planets might have to be in perfect alignment, but it's going to happen.

You are correct 124-125 mph might get it done but you will have to improve your 60' time to mid 1.50s to low 1.60s and I don't think the TM will allow for this DRs or not.

+1

If 1.7's are the limit to what it'll do, then it may need to trap closer to 130 mph.

Right, but there was 1 hour cool down between drag radial run and stock street tire. Seeing as how the mph was near identical, seems the 3 minute back to back run had little to zero effect.

Can you post the weather data? A few different sources show 69*-71* and 30.10-30.20 barometer at those times, and 350'-450' elevation.

Why are you trolling Vengeance now? Many cars are posting the same exact stock times, and actually his times were a little slower. Second what are you trying to get out of this? Cars is not going 10s stock with or without drag radials on a factory tune.

I think if anyone can get in the 10's with Dr's and tune it might be Vengeance racing. They have lots of knowledge with the LT's and maybe a tune and pulley change could get them there.
