[QUOTE=GossipSquirrelJelena;10375643][COLOR="Blue"][B]Haha its on

I think both need to post slips so we can at least know they actually race their cars and not claiming mag times. No sense in stirring the pot if neither has been to a track haha.

Very true. From what I read there's alot of chat about what car car "should do" not what it does do.

I'm personally not concerned with anyone else's car. There are plenty of examples out there of what these cars can do. A slow driver in a fast car does not take away from the car if you ask me.

I wouldn't expect a hardcore racer to understand...and I guess there are plenty of them here. But not everyone cares to take their car to the track. It was a 45 minute drive for me to the closest track. And they closed recently. So 45 minutes there, at least an hour waiting for my 1st run, sometimes 2 hours waiting, then you're out there all night sometimes even having to hotlap without a decent cool down period, and all that for 20 bucks. No thanks. Not to mention that in order to get better you have to spend time there. So if, at best, you get 3 runs a night, how long before you get sufficient skills to bring out the best your car can do? Which is why I say that we know these cars. We know how fast they are. Some of us buy them because we want a low 11 sec car. Do we all have to run an 11 sec? No. Is it still faster than a 12 or 13 second car? For sure. Does anyone have anything to prove? LOL...come on...

I'm at the track every week ..Hour and half to get there , might get 3 passes all night .. It's what I do and have done since 1971 and it's what I will do until I can't ..

So you're a car guy, who can afford $170k worth of vehicles , but you seem to get no enjoyment out of a night at the track and mention the $20 it cost to get in like its a lot. "Have" to hotlap? you can skip 1 or 2 runs to cool the car if the track is uncrowded.

Maybe walk the pits and look at other cars, talk to other owners, watch other car classes race, look at chicks. Surely a car guy can find some way to pass the time between runs...those of us who frequent the track have been doing it for years.

And you really should have you car pretty well figured out 10-15 passes.

And maybe if you stopped throwing away your money on nonsense then you too could afford $170K worth of vehicles. I don't throw away my money on nonsense. Which is why I can afford $170K worth of vehicles.

Ever been to my track? No? Ok so let me fill you in on something. They hot lap you when the night is just about over. And it is usually after you sat around waiting for God knows how long. One night in particular I waited 2 hours. On top of that, once they do, they close down after those laps. So there isn't any chance to "skip 1 or 2 runs to cool the car". You either go, or you don't, and then the track is closed.

If I wanted to go to a car show, then I would have gone to a car show.

I have no desire to do that because I'm not there to watch others. I'm there to race my car. Plus my track is unorganized. While you "watch other car classes race", your class is being called and just like that, you miss your run.

I'm not a pervert. I'm not gonna stare down some chick while her BF is there like some kind of fiend. If I wanna "look at chicks", then I'll go to a bar, club, lounge, or strip joint. I'm not there to "look at chicks". I go there to race my car.

Good for you. Congrats. I'm very proud of you.

Can a person figure out their car in 10-15 runs? Yea. But it takes much longer than that to figure out how to launch it properly, the best shift points, tire pressure, etc.

I have no desire to go to the track more than a handful of times which I did. I set my goal for what I wanted with this car and I got it. So I have no need to go back until I get my next car which will be considerably faster. When I do, I'll be sure to let you know all about it.

On my nights off I have no desire to spend the entire night at a track. I'd rather be in a bar or casino. Plus I hate coming home tired, worn out, smelling like gas and burnt rubber, it's not my thing. To each their own.

I hate interweb call outs. They almost never pan out. And 99% of people wont call you out unless they have some ridiculous advantage.
