eLSD fluid

Hey all, regarding the eLSD on the 1LE and 17 ZL1s....can we run Royal purple max gear diff fluid in them, or some other aftermarket lubricant? Or is the fluid some special secret squirrel concoction? Anyone tried it?

Leave the eLSD fluid alone but you can change the regular pumpkin fluid with Royal purple if you wish. If you go with the OEM GM fluid you do not need to add the additional LSD friction modifier additive.

I was under the impression that the rear pumpkin and the eLSD were connected and fed fluid to each other.....is this not correct?

No. They're separate.
