Looks really nice, any advantage to the strut bar on our cars? I want it for the looks, and i want to make it look pretty maybe wrap it in carbon fibre or something special.

That strut bar is for the convertible, maybe it needs a little extra becuase of the lack of roof.
I would pursue an item like this purely for visual horsepower

Something like BMRs bar that connects all 3 strut bolts seems like if any stiffening is needed that would be the way to go. Not just 1 bolt.

I figured, the diagonal braces under the hood are fantastic, i can't say i need it... more did i need the 2SS... but we are here..

Visual horse power like stickers and decals can be just as much fun =D (sarcasm of course)

I'll save up for it what the hell...

There it is. I'm curious as to if a [cross] strut tower brace does anything for this car. You'd think that GM would add it to the 1LE or ZL1 (although a different design) if it really did. But the strut tower brace looks cool and I know they can add some long-term integrity effects on the overall front of the chassis on a heavily used car.

We get to pop the hood and give everyone the good old like

"my cars so good it doesn't even need that silly brace... i did it for the looks"

What a time we are in...

Does anyone know if the GM STB part# 84125309 fits the V6 cars? I know the BMR Strut Tower Brace does not fit V6 cars due to their "straight bar" design (Compared to the V8,the V6 sits a little bit higher in the engine bay. Who knew?!). But the Chevy one is curved, so...

Can anyone confirm that Chevy's STB would fit V6 cars? It's listed as an SS part.

Strut Tower Brace is only available on 2SS convertible. Since the 1LE is really a 1SS Coupe, it doesn't get a brace. Then again, the 1SS 1LE has leather seats and alcantara inserts, while the base 1SS makes do with standard seats wrapped in cloth. So who the hell knows why the Vert 2SS is the only Camaro to get a brace.

My personal opinion, it's there for cosmetic reasons. I say this because the 2LT and 2SS trims are cosmetic/comfort options. None of them add any further performance to their respective cars. I feel that Chevy would have added a brace to the 1SS Vert, if it were really a performance enhancer . So maybe it's simply eye candy...

Just my 2¢

Every time I see a strut bar I always think about that Muscle vs Tuner channel's video on Shit Camaro guys say. I can only think of the strut bar as a seatbelt for the engine.
