Why I ditched the A10 for the M6
I have gone back and forth with this decision for weeks now with all of the great deals on M6 cars lying around unclaimed. With a Hyper Blue A10 set the built this week, I was admittedly in a love affair with another color and transmission, but still that wasn't enough to make me pull the trigger. It wasn't until a good friend came to visit me from Georgia that I began to realize how much fun I'd be leaving on the table by passing on the manual.
We rode some of the highest performance motorcycles through the south Georgia back roads, yet when I moved to Dallas with all of its traffic, I soon sold both my bikes and hadn't shifted a manual gear in years. He helped me get in touch with that person that I left behind in Albany Georgia, a guy who loved to shift his own gears in a performance machine such as this. So as intrigued as I am by this magnificent A10, I have decided to leave it at the alter for my true love. Mind you I haven't driven a manual transmission car since 2002 when I sold my Chevy Cavalier. Looking back, those were some of the best times of my life and as I rowed through the gears today in this beautiful machine, it took me back to being that young and adventurous 24 year old who enjoyed all the pleasures of driving. Tomorrow I am letting my good friend have at it and he can't wait. In the end there is no wrong choice, but I couldn't be happier with this M6 and the smile this car has put on my face. It's an absolute show stopper and I have gotten nothing but mouth watering stares and compliments all day!!! By the way, if there's any one interested in a A10 fully loaded HBM set to be built this week, inbox me before I withdraw my deposit Monday. Last edited by snackbar64; 02-25-2017 at 11:22 PM. |

Stunning car, I love it in white. I'm glad there is an option for all preferences. I adore the new A10 technology, but manuals can be tons of fun, especially for those who feel more connected with the car that way. =) Congrats!

There is an inexplicable connection with an manual transmission car. I tried an automatic once, and it only last 4 months before I traded it back in. I felt like I was just sitting there steering. Even in some of the worst traffic the US has to offer on the East Coast, I was bored even in stop and go without the manual.
Congrats man! BTW hope your wife/girl doesn't read your first post. All that love affair stuff seemed to roll off the tongue a little too smooth. lol.
