Thanks. It's not that bad when you're used to dark tint. All my cars and trucks I've brought to my tint guy get the same tint. A backup camera helps out a lot at night too lol.

That's as high as an eagle's ass! I gave $200 for 5% ceramic tint. I think his normal price for ceramic is like 300-350 or so, which is 100 more than his basic tint. So I'd definitely shop around if I were you, escpecially if you want something a little darker than legal. Idk what your limits are but where I live the legal limit on front driver and passenger tint is like 50%, which is basically a waste of money.

Does anyone have any issues with their rear window tint? I am getting glare at night from the defroster lines. Do any of you experience that? Just wondering if it's normal. I didn't go with a dark tint, but one shade below legal and the headlights are glaring off the defroster lines. I have never had tint before so I don't know if this is normal.

Mine cost about 200 as well. That seems to be normal. 300% markup at the dealer.... That is an expensive markup.

I've seen quite a few cars with tinted windshields, and I'm guessing a lot of them don't have letters from an optometrist, including myself. 50% really isn't even that dark, but it looks like it is because there is so little light that even enters the narrow windows of this car. I got my front at 35% with 15% on the sides, and 5% on the back. The real test for me will be this summer when I can determine if I can tell a difference in how much cooler this car is in the heat vs my other ones.

I guess there's a local tint pro back home, so hopefully he will have some examples I can look at. Right now I'm thinking 35%.

I had a hard time focusing on the tint on your car....that skateboard laid up against that Challenger (grip side towards paint) is making me cringe!

No not at all. I think it comes in 5% increments, but I could be talking out my butt, too. I've always dealt in increments of 5%.

If it's a daily driver, I wouldn't go darker than 50% on the windshield.

(I think he had a microfiber towel between the skateboard and the paint)

He's one of the main organizers for Cars & Coffee STL. I'm sure he's not going to let his Hellcat get scratched so easily lol.
