I'm actually expecting 4 to 5 of us. ZZP is supposedly coming down with the 11.97s Guy as well. That's the rumor I've heard anyway.

why do you need a tire split. You're already in separate classes due to engine size.

We don't can't justify it even if we wanted it unless we had 20+ in all honesty. Was more of a stop whining post then anything else.

I don’t believe anyone was whining sir (I’m assuming you’re a sir, I apologize for assuming your gender if otherwise). You’re one of two cars in an I4 drag racing class mentioning separating a class by wheel size. Compared to where that rule actually begins separating cars from one another like it does in the forced induction V8 class, you’re not making much sense.

When you toss a 10 second car into an unlimited class where cars are running low 9’s and high 8’s strictly due to it having a 17” wheel on it, that doesn’t seem to make much sense to me. I’m definitely not the smartest here, nor am I the one running/planning this event so my concern really has no meaning here obviously so I’ll just do the mature thing and simply sit out the event.

I think we only had 1 9s car last year wasn't even a modern age camaro either. If your letting something like a 17inch tire rule stop you from coming that's just to bad. As for my input in this discussion well you must've read very little in this section. I agree with quite a few guys on the 17 split issue but in the end they make the rules and the rules have worked just fine year in and out.

Strictly just my opinion which doesn’t carry much weight, I’m aware.

I would have been driving my car to the event on 17’s with a drag radial just as it goes down the track. I strongly disagree that a 10 second car would be competitive in the unlimited class considering I see a few cars listed that run bottom 9’s. But regardless, hope you ladies and gentlemen have fun at the event
I got runner up in unlimited last year with a 10.0-10.1 all Motor setup against all the power adder guys.

Never know what can happen!!

I ran unlimited because I’m on 15s. But was half the power of who I raced in the finals. And it was a close one!!

The rules posted in this thread are very literal and have been vetted quite a bit over the years.

Oh hell yeah, totally understand which is one reason we don't arbitrarily change things around when folks are working toward a certain class.

Look forward to see you run!!
