ZL1 Exhaust Manifolds on L99 SS

Does anyone know if the Stock ZL1 Manifolds will fit on the L99 without any issues? they seem to look the same aside from all the rust that forms on the stock SS manifolds?

Before anyone suggest it I'm not looking to go for longtubes.

Then what about shorties? It will make the V8 sound better, and add some power. Unless you replace the cats with off-roads or hfc's tho, you aren't going to gain much in rwhp. If you put HFC's, tho... look out! You've now opened up the biggest restriction in our exhausts (the cats), and now you're looking at real gains.

Not sure why you would want to just swap manifolds... the rust?

Go shorties, my friend, if you're not looking for longtubes.

Because I already Have the ZL1 manifolds. I'm not looking for any gains I'm just looking to get rid of that ugly rust on the stock manifolds. I just notice though there is one key difference between the two although I don't know if it matters. The SS manifold has a countersunk bore where the cats attach to the manifolds. Where as the ZL1 manifold is flush at this area. Would this affect anything if I installed it on my SS?

Most turbo buys get the stock manifolds ceramic coated if you want them for looks.

As far as bolting to the heads, they're shouldn't be any issue, but if I remember right the ZL1 and Z/28 use a slightly different type of cat which would explain the difference in the flange, I remember reading that the dual mode exhaust system will attach to older style headers, but the dual mode headers won't attach to the standard single tip exhaust, so as long as you are using Dual Mode or aftermarket header back exhaust you should be ok.
