1LE package addition to 2SS build

So my build was just submitted today and I was curious if I should just go ahead and add the 1LE spec suspension package to the build instead of just adding the MRC. I thought about the 1LE package all together but I'm not a fan of the Racaro seats. So I was thinking if there really isn't much of a difference in the other suspension parts I should get by with just the MRC and not the entire 1LE spec out.

Just looking for some insite before they accept my build and I'm out of luck. LoL

I am assuming you are referring to the $1995 package. If this is the case, my dealership tells me this is a package they add on once the vehicle is received. That being said, the MRC is required to get this package, and that needs to be built into the car at the time of manufacture.

Also, in case you did not notice, the $1995 package does not have the electronic slip differential that the 1LE package has (and all the other goodies).

You're correct about the package reference cost I guess I'm curious if there would be a really big difference in the ride from stock to 1LE for the rest of the suspension.

from what I've read, there is a 1/4" drop in height, but going by memory. I am getting the package on my 1SS, so I did a bit of research.

There would be a little harsher ride with the full 1LE package, but the MRC dampers really do a good job of giving a comfortable street ride in Tour while getting firmer for "sporting" driving. Unless you plan a full-on competition build, I think I'd order the MRC standalone option no matter what else you do. They are really good.

I find that my SS 1LE rides slightly plusher in Touring mode than my LT1 car did with passive dampers.

OP; in my opinion, the 1LE package is worth every penny; especially since it includes the MRC, wider wheels/tires, head up display, eLSD, and NPP exhaust.

The 1LE package is a killer value, no doubt. But if the OP doesn't like the Recaros, then it's not a good option for him. The eLSD is a bit of a mixed bag IMO, and probably not very important unless/until you are autocrossing or tracking the car. A local friend of mine has a 2SS (think it's a 2?) with mag ride and a few suspension upgrades (but not the 1LE upgrade package) and it's a great street car. It is also a very fast autocross car. so I can wholeheartedly recommend going the 2SS+MRC route for a lot of people.

My car is a 2SS+MRC with wide wheels plus one (rear) suspension mod, and it's a fantastic street warrior, plush enough for thousand-mile road trips with the missus or short distance kid shuttling if I so desire, but rough enough to scare me, as it should, otherwise.

(For completeness' sake, I'm also $5.5k in towards the 1LE package, so I might as well have bought it... and probably would've, had the auto trans been offered on the 1LE back in 2018.)

Thanks for the input especially coming from a 1LE owner. Fits my thinking exactly as I'm not a tracker but may hit one just for the experience.

So you originally went MRC and started adding the 1LE pieces after the fact? Good to think about if I decide to further build out going forward. Thanks for the advice.......

The wider rims and tires are a sweet look but its the kick up issues that are steering me away from those (along with the Racaro seats). I mean I could add mud flaps (and probably still will to the rear) I really don't like the 4 tire look.

I've got everything that Arpad has plus the FE4 swaybars and end links. The ride is only slightly more harsh than with the standard, FE3 parts. I can definitely tell the difference on track, however for a car that will never see a road course, I would stick with a standard MRC 2SS.

Just get the 1LE package, it's so cheap for what you get. The RECARO seats give it the sports car feel like it is.
