So I'm expecting my '22 LT1 in about a week or so.

The first modification I'm going is swapping out the ugly LT1 cluster with the SS level cluster, I have that already on order with WAMS.

The very next modification I want to do is swapping the standard, manual dimming rearview mirror with a auto dimming camera rear view. I know Gen5DIY has a complete kit (the antenna fin replacement solution), but it seems steep for $1500?

For those that did an upgrade like this, what route did you go and how did you source the parts? What's the best solution here staying as OEM as possible?

I bought a bundle here, he included the sharkfin camera, LCD mirror, and fakra camera cable. I bought the needed harness from Gen5DIY and installed myself.

Really the only part you can get that's not OEM is the fakra camera cable as it uses a non-proprietary plug which is nice. Everything else has to be OEM parts to work and the Gen5DIY harness to power it.

The best bet for savings would be finding and contacting salvage or part outs asking for the parts or some parts IMO. Check eBay as well as many salvagers post on there

I know this is an old thread, but for anyone searching on this topic as I was, I stumbled across another OEM parts live-view kit option called mods4alpha. He had the kit below on sale for $900 (normally 1500). I also had to get a $40 harness he sells, as my 1SS is manual dimmer. I was impatient looking for a salvage part, so went for it.

Looks like he's low volume and specializes in Caddies, but had this:
